Nancy's Elephant Trek
Free Coloring Download
In celebration of Children's Day on January 14, 2017, we are releasing one of our favorite coloring pages as a free download and will update this page with new images on a monthly basis.
We would love to see your finished pages, so color them in as best you can, take a good quality photograph or scan the image and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org so our team can display your artwork on our website.
Disclaimer: This image was created before awareness of harsh conditions affecting elephants in camps came to the fore. While this image remains one of our most popular coloring book pages, we do not encourage people to ride elephants anymore, unless it is done bareback in elephant sanctuaries where quality of life for elephants is a priority.

Talking Point: If working on this with someone else, have a look at what the NAKA Elephant Foundation is doing. In an ideal world, elephants would be able to roam wild. The reality we face in Thailand is that this is not an option. What the NAKA Elephant Foundation is attempting to do is to educate all elephant "sanctuaries" and camps on how to ensure quality of life for their elephants. In short, the experts behind the movement believe tourism is vital to improved quality of life for elephants as it provides funds to feed and raise the standards of elephant care in Thailand as well as motivation for all those involved.
