selling a wide range of items not available in shops, including

Pet Expo Thailand 31 July 2008 to 3 August 2008 For pet lovers, don’t miss the largest fair here where you can find and buy all kinds of pet related products and accessories. Open 10am-8pm at Zone C1-2, QSNCC (J3).

ThaiCraft Fair August 2008 16 August 2008 If you are an arts and crafts lover, be there when the doors open. The best items sell out early! Sponsored by ThaiCraft, an non-profit organization dedicated to helping maintain and promote traditional Thai arts and crafts direct from the villages. This month’s special feature: Bamboo lanterns of Northern Thailand. Tower Wing, 3rd floor, Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 11 (Nana BTS station). 10am to 2pm.
Christmas Glitz Sale 25 August 2008 to 27 August 2008 Pick up some unique creative holiday decorations at this going away sale at the home of the woman behind Christmas Glitz. She’s opening her home at Jaspal Apartments, Sukhumvit Soi 23, for three days, from 9am-5pm, for those interested. Members of the American Womens Club of Thailand get special discounts.

Furniture Show 6 September 2008 to 14 September 2008 Expect a wide range of styles and bargains at this event, open to the public daily at BITEC, Bang Na (J3).
Bangkok Gem and Jewelry Sale 11 September 2008 to 15 September 2008 Showcasing all kinds of gems and jewelry from around the world, this exhibition is one of the industry’s top events. Open to the public as well as the trade. At Impact, Muang Thong Thani (I1) from 10am to 6pm daily, except the final day when doors close at 5pm.
Living in Bangkok* 13 September 2008 A must for expatriates living in Bangkok, and for those considering moving to Thailand. This exhibition brings together every company and organization providing unique services and products for the expatriate community, from ones like ours to every women’s group, schools, charities, sporting groups and supermarkets importing special foods. Kids of the World Exhibition 3 October 2008 to 7 October 2008 On sale at this event will be children’s clothing, art supplies, toys, games, furniture and books. Also exhibiting will be companies providing family services such as hospitals, amusement parks and travel agencies. Open to the public 10am-9pm at Challenger Hall, Impact, Muang Thong Thani (I1).
13th Book Expo 11 October 2008 to 23 October 2008 While most exhibitors at this annual event will be selling Thai titles, you’re still sure to find a few selling English and other language titles at some very special prices! At the QSNCC (J3).
Bangkok International Gift and Furniture Fair 14 October 2008 to 19 October 2008 Shopaholics, be forewarned: The last two days of this event, when it opens to the public, will easily lead you to overspend. This exhibition showcases all kinds of creative new stationery, decorative products, crafts and more, including exhibitors from the design hub of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Expect crowds and be prepared to buy on the spot as exhibitors attempt to offload their samples, especially on the last day of the show. At the Challenger, Impact Muang Thong Thani (I1). Open to the public 10am-9pm on the last two days (trade only beforehand).
Sports World Expo 17 October 2008 to 26 October 2008 Find incredible bargains on all things sports related at this event, from sneakers to exercise machines, golf accessories and camping equipment. Also planned are a number of onsite sports (we’re thinking skating ramps, rockclimbing walls and the like). At Impact, Muang Thong Thani (I1). Open Mon-Thu 11am-10pm and Fri-Sun 10.30am-midnight.

Ploenchit Fair* 29 November 2008 Mark your calendars! This annual event is one of Bangkok’s best for the whole family with games for all ages, great music and vendors of all kinds, not to mention a rockclimbing wall, incredible raffle prizes, food of all kinds, and a coloring competition sponsored by Nancy Chandler Graphics. Funds raised go to charities nationwide. On the grounds of the riverside Shrewsbury International School on Charoen Krung (B3) from 10am-8pm.
