ThaiCraft Fair July 8 8 July 2010 If you are an arts and crafts lover, try to make one of these fairs, now held twice a month, usually on the second and last Saturday (this special weekday sale accommodating women who prefer to shop when the kids are in school). Sponsored by ThaiCraft (www.thaicraft.org), an non-profit organization dedicated to helping maintain and promote traditional Thai arts and crafts direct from the villages. Also featured regularly now are a children’s activity area and a Fair Trade cafe with healthy and organic food. Location: 3F Jasmine City (above California Wow fitness club) at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 23 on Sukhumvit (F1). Hours: 9.30am-3pm.
Thailand Golf & Dive Expo 2010 8 July 2010 to 11 July 2010 Drop by the QSNCC (I3-J3) between 11am-9pm to check out the deals and equipment on sale at this annual exhibition Over 40 golf courses will be offering special promotions. Wood Furniture Fair 9 July 2010 to 19 July 2010 The woodcarvers of Bangsai Arts & Crafts Centre bring their products into Bangkok with proceeds from their sale to be donated to the Arts and Crafts Support Foundation. In the Lifestyle Hall, 5F, Siam Paragon (E).
Sop Moei Arts Annual Summer Sale 13 July 2010 to 20 July 2010 Enjoy rare discounts at this unique crafts and textile boutique in the Soi Klang Racquet Club complex off Sukhumvit Soi 49/9 (F2). On offer are prices 10-30% off on all textile products and up to 40% off on wall hangings. Open 9.30am-5pm daily.
Bangkok Book Festival For Young People 14 July 2010 to 18 July 2010 Find bargain books for the children at this fair. While most booths will likely cater to Thais, keep an eye out for the handful of English language publishers and distributors sure to be there too. The theme this year is ‘Discover the World of Thai Literature’ and in turn the expo will be designed as a temple fair with characters from Thai classical literature entertaining visitors. There will also be an activity zone for the little ones. At the QSNCC (I3-J3) from 10am-8pm.

Pet Expo 22 July 2010 to 25 July 2010 Over 250 vendors have booked space to sell everything from dog clothing to pet food and other supplies, including a ‘shipping’ service. Expect activities to run alongside to keep the four legged members of your family busy including a Dog, Cat and Rabbit Supermodel competition. At the QSNCC (I3-J3).
